The term “platform” is used within this document to refer to all connected applications that make up the Col8 solution, this includes but is not limited to the website(s), mobile applications and desktop applications.

By using this “platform” in any way, you are agreeing to all the terms and conditions set out below.

No child under the age of 13 can sign up for or use this service at this time, by using this service you are confirming you are at or above the required age.

About cookies

This website uses cookies. By using this website and agreeing to this policy, you consent to Col8's use of cookies in accordance with the terms of this policy.

Col8 uses Google Analytics to analyse the use of this website. The information generated relating to our website is used to create reports about the use of the website. Google will store and use this information. Col8 takes no responsibility for any loss, damage, injury of death that occurs before, during or after any content is presented to the “platform”. All responsibilities lie with the individual user for all actions taken by them and others.

Col8 takes no responsibility for the accuracy of any information presented on the “platform” or any other media. All information from any party is presented purely for entertainment purposes and should not be used in such a way that might cause harm to yourself or others.

Col8 takes no responsibility for the content uploaded or downloaded from the “platform” and all responsibility lies with the content producer. All content is uploaded by the content producer at his or her own risk.

Col8 takes no responsibility for content that is uploaded or downloaded that has been used by other parties outside of the "platform".

Col8 will take all necessary precautions to protect user privacy including user details and passwords.

Only content marked as private will be hidden on the “platform” to only the owning user and “platform” administration.

Col8 is a company registered in the United Kingdom and works within the legal system of that country. Col8 will comply with any reasonable requests from the legal enforcement authorities within the United Kingdom.

Visual as well as other data is stored on the platform as part of its content and if you believe this material will cause you or others harm you can request that it is made private by contacting us at the email address info@col8.net . Col8 will aim to action this request as quickly as possible but reserves the right to take up to 7 working days from receipt of the request to fully action. If Col8 does not deem your request to be valid for the “platform” to remove the information it will give your request to the content owner to action.

Col8 reserves the right to store and track activity on the “platform” for development purposes and no data will be shared with third parties unless it is made anonymous to protect user privacy.

All content is stored as Col8 sees fit in whichever locale worldwide and using whatever method of storage (e.g. Cloud) that it deems appropriate.

Col8 reserves the right to store the content uploaded in any format it deems fit including but limited to altering resolutions, frame rates, audio / visual codecs, file types and audio streams.

Col8 uses both propriety and third party back up methods across its “platform” to ensure data is protected and when data is removed it is possible for it to exist on backups for a period of time. Note that if this data still exists on our systems it may be possible to retrieve it for either the creating user or legal authorities that request it in accordance to the law of the United Kingdom or the country that is hosting the data.

All content uploaded by the user will be stored by Col8 and if the user decides to stop any or all subscription services that pertain to the storage of content the user can decide to extract all information within 21days of any cancelation. A fee defined by a multiplier of the storage amount at the rate of £0.15 per Gb will be charged to the user prior to release of information to cover retrieval and traffic costs.

After 21 days of canceling a subscription service Col8 reserves the right to completely erase all information that was uploaded previously as it sees fit. Col8 also reserves the right to store this information for later retrieval indefinitely unless a request for erasure has been received.

What we do with your personal data / Processing

We use your personal data collected both from your sign up and actions on the platform to:

  • Determine interests, this can help us find you or others better content or in the future appropriate advertising content within the platform.
  • Improve the way our service works including but not limited to performance and usability.
  • Determine areas of interest geographically.

Access requests to your personal data

You have the right to access your personal data stored by Col8 within one calendar month of the request free of charge. Request can be made to info@col8.net with the subject “GDPR personal data request”. Under the conditions set by the ICO for GDPR if the requests are unreasonable in nature we will reply with the reasons why.

Right of rectification

If there are details we have stored about you from your request that you feel are incorrect we will aim to rectify them and confirm that they have been changed.

Right of erasure

You have the right to be forgotten from our system and for us to remove your personal data. If you would like to exercise this right beyond a normal account removal where all data will be purged in due course the please make a request to info@col8.net with the subject “GDPR right to be forgotten” in it.

Right to restrict processing

Under the GDPR legislation you have the right to ask for processing of your personal information to be restricted. At Col8 we aim to only ever use your personal data to do the things we say we will use them for and to make the service better. We do not have the ability to alter the amount of processing on a user by user basis so we kindly ask you either delete your user account or make a request to be erased from the system (see above).

Data breaches

If an event occurs where unsecured personal information is breached under this legislation we are required to inform the users and ICO within 72hrs of finding the breach.

Col8 uses integrations to third parties including but not limited to Strava™, Stripe™ and Google Analytics™.

Col8 reserves the right to add, modify or remove these integrations without warning including the information transmitted between the sites.

Any integration that requires the user to authenticate sign in data with the third party will be done in accordance to their policies and practices.

From the Strava™ application integration you give Col8 permission to import user data from your profile to be used on the “platform” to improve your experience. This includes but not limited to data like route data including location points, user information such as name and email address, followers and friends.

Your privacy is paramount to Col8 and we will import data from Strava™ in a way that respects the privacy policies set out and stored from their site.

All content uploaded to Col8 is done so at the users risk and Col8 does not take responsibility for unsuitable content for anyone viewing the information. This includes language deemed inappropriate for different age groups.

Col8 does not vet material before being placed on the “platform” for inappropriate content and is not to be held responsible for its content.

Col8 does not endorse any illegal or inappropriate material being put on the “platform” including acts of violence or a sexual nature. Please report any and all inappropriate content immediately at this email address: info@col8.net.
